GOS Contract Update – FAO Contractors

20 February 2023

Sent to all South West GOS providers and LOCs

Prior to the pandemic we commenced re-issuing GOS contracts to ensure these were on the latest national contract in line with the regulations. We are now progressing this piece of work.

There are limited specific fields where the text is adapted for each contractors (Health Service Body status, Premises address, Hours etc). This process does not intend to change any of this information, however this may present an opportunity to ensure that if hours have changed since the contract has last been varied to resolve that.

The covering letter will indicate the clauses which have been amended so that you can review easily and a timescale for responding – if any of the information is incorrectly reflected, please get back in touch to highlight the correct information so that we can resolve. If you are content that the contracts are reflective of your understanding, we request you sign and return the signature page to us (preferably electronically).

In some cases, contractors have already received the updated contracts prior to the pandemic, so we will remind you that these are with you/re-send if required, for others this will be the first draft you will have seen.

Where we are aware that you are currently undergoing a contract variation process with the BSA, we will take this into account as part of the re-issue.

Where your contract is held on the most recent national contract, you will not be contacted by ourselves unless we have a query in relation to the documentation held.

We have advised the LOCs that we will be undertaking this process, so if you have queries that you don’t wish to share with us, they should be able to assist.

Kind Regards
