BNSSG Healthier Together Network Report
25 September 2023
A recent BNSSG staff survey of 515 Primary Care staff, indicated that 70% experienced burnout to some degree in their roles. Qualitative comments suggest that this is in part due to the experience of moral distress. Moral distress is a result of the institutional and resource constraints healthcare staff face, meaning they often cannot provide the high level of care they want and expect to be able to deliver BMA report on moral distress in the NHS.
As a result of these findings, and following a successful workshop delivered to Practice Managers, they are happy to be able to offer you the opportunity to book a psychologist to come to your organisation to deliver a 2.5 hour workshop on this topic area, including what it means, and what we can all do to help mitigate against the impact of experiencing burnout and moral distress in our roles. This will include access to a toolkit as well as a follow up session with the psychologist. As many staff as possible from across the organisation attending would hold maximum benefit.
This offer is limited, and spaces have already been booked, however, we still have the following dates and times available:
- 5th October – 12:00-14:30
- 7th December – 12:00-14:30
- 1st February – 12:00-14:30
- 15th February – 12:00-14:30
