20231003 ACTION REQUIRED: Quality in Optometry Return

Dear Colleagues,
We have reached agreement locally with all South West LOC and ICB colleagues that the Quality in Optometry return for 2022-2025 will be requested to be completed by all GOS contractors in the South West by midnight 31st December 2023.
Having all submission by 31st December will allow time for the returns to be reviewed, contractors selected for QiO visits to be notified and visited from April 2024 onwards and all follow-up actions completed before the current QiO cycle ends in March 2025.
Our records show that no return for your site has been identified on the QiO Portal submitted between 1st April 2022-30th September 2023.
If you have completed your return, could you please provide evidence of this by return email to england.optometrysouthwest@nhs.net
Please be aware that this submission is a contractual requirement, therefore where there is no evidence of a submission having been made by 31st December 2023 contractors will be contacted in early 2024.
