Opera – 1 week to go to register your practice for the service. Patients who are discharged after surgery will choose the community opticians from this list. You’ve got to be on it to be in it… Get On Board!
The list of participating practices will be updated periodically.
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the Royal Berkshire Hospital Trust Cataract Post-Op Service will launch on the 29th March. This service will allow patients who have had uncomplicated cataract surgery within the Royal Berkshire Hospital Trust to be discharged to a community optician for their post-operative assessment.
The first list of opticians registered on Opera and able to offer this service will be published on the 22nd March.
Post Cataract Service Launch Event – Wednesday 17th March
We would like to invite you to a webinar on Wednesday 17th March at 7.30pm. The webinar will include:
- An introduction to Primary Eyecare Services and the Opera IT platform.
- An overview of the post-cataract service on Opera
- A talk from Martin Leyland, Consultant Ophthalmologist at RBH
1 CET point has been allocated to this event.

The service will be provided through the Opera platform. If you have not registered your practice for Opera, you can start the process here.
