LOCSU Leadership Course Could Boost Your Career

Applications are open for the LOCSU leadership skills course.
The course is a 20-credit postgraduate module, and part of WOPEC’s MSc programme at Cardiff University.
Simone Mason, LOCSU’s Digital Learning Support Officer said:
“This is a great time of year to think about your future development. Don’t let this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and boost your career pass you by.”
One of those who has experienced the course is new LOCSU Optical Lead Alvaro Borges, he explained how the course had helped him:
“The course allowed me to be better at delegating which is something I always struggled with. It also made me reflect on being better at listening and how to avoid leading questions”
Alvaro has this message for anyone considering applying:
“The LOCSU Leadership Skills Course is certainly not to be missed. Not only will you understand what Leadership actually means, but it can potentially have a profound impact in both your professional and personal life.”
LOCSU funds ten places on the course but you must apply by 5pm on 19 December to be considered.
