National Eye Health Week – Monday 23rd – Sunday the 29th September
25 July 2024
If you are a high street optician
-
-
- Display our National Eye Health Week leaflets and posters.
- Hold a competition for local children to design a poster promoting eye health.
- Ask patients coming for a sight test about their family and friends.
- Offer your services as an expert to event organisers and really spread the word about this vital health area.
- Create a “My Vision Matters” video booth where customers can record statements about why their vision matters. We’ll feature the best videos on our website
-
How we can support you
These are just a few suggestions to get you going. We’re sure you’ll have lots more of your own, and there’s plenty of support available. We will provide you with:
-
-
- Leaflets and posters – and lots of helpful information on this website.
- Help to promote your events and awareness raising activities. You can publicise your event on the website, and we’ll put you in touch with other people so you can exchange ideas and tips.
- Help to work with your local media so they can tell their audiences about what you’re doing.
-
And please tell us about your ideas for activities to promote eye health by emailing us at info@visionmatters.org.uk
Next steps
Once you’ve decided how you’d like to get involved in National Eye Health Week, simply:
-
-
- Let us know the name of your organisation and what you have planned. We will be producing publicity materials which you will be able to order from this website.
- Are you staging an activity for National Eye Health Week?
-
As long as it is in support of the aims of National Eye Health Week, we will send you poster templates so that you can customise them and publicise your event.
We will help promote your event by placing it on the calendar section of the website.
-
-
- Keep visiting the website for up-to-date information, tips and ideas.
- If you haven’t decided on an activity, have a look on the website at what others are doing.
- Could you do something similar?
-
Please do your best to support this campaign and promote the importance of eye health because vision really matters.
