Change to Referral Procedures for patients of BSol GPs

29 October 2020

From 2nd November 2020 the procedure for some referrals to ophthalmology for patients of GPs in BSol CCG will be changing:  The procedure for most referrals e.g, emergencies, urgent referrals, fast track wet AMD, cataracts, YAG capsulotomy and conditions likely to require in-patient surgery will remain as it was but Routine referrals for conditions such as chronic open angle glaucoma must be referred via a new Single Point of Access (SAP) operated by Health-Harmonie.  Contractors will have received details of the new pathway direct from Health-Harmonie and the Referral Guidance on this website (under the ‘professionals’ tab) will be updated as soon as possible.
