Emergency referral  – Emergency & urgent (<2 weeks). Email Hourly triage by nursing team.

Wet AMD referrals

Please refer on Cinapsis or via e-mail to add-tr.amd@nhs.net (preferably on Cinapsis)

We are creating a rapid access pathway for suspect wet AMD. We hope that this will improve our referral to treatment times for patients and align the current multiple referral routes. Please see the attachments below:-

Cataract referrals and post-op forms

All cataract referrals and post-op forms to Addenbrooke’s need to be submitted via an accredited optometrist on Cinapsis

Cataract referrals

All cataract referrals to Hinchingbrooke need to be submitted directly via an accredited Optometrist, otherwise the referral would need to be submitted via GP

Peterborough City Hospital –

ACES

Accepts referrals for cataract surgery, YAG, glaucoma, oculoplastics and general ophthalmology. Routine referrals only, email directly ideally via nhs.net account with copy to GP and patient:

Cinapsis

Electronic referral system where referrals can be sent to Addenbrookes, Hinchingbrooke or PCH hospitals directly. An account with Cinapsis is required to refer via this system.

Spa Medica

For cataract referrals, YAG, Wet AMD, Diabetic Macular Oedema, and Retinal Vein Occlusions,  email referral with copy to GP and patient directly to: Spamedica.referrals@nhs.net

Spa Medica can now receive referrals for AMD in Peterborough.
