Interpreting Services (Spoken Word and BSL)

FAO Cheshire and Merseyside Primary Care Optical Contractors- Interpreting services (Spoken word and BSL)

Cheshire and Merseyside ICB are confirming with you that we have a provider of interpreting services for optical contractors holding a GOS contract for spoken word and BSL (British Sign Language).

The single provider of interpreting services across Cheshire and Merseyside ICB will be Language Line Solutions.

Services that Language Line will provide are:

Telephone Interpretation Translation Services

Pre-booked Video Interpretation (Remote Face-to-Face) – Face to Face Spoken Word

Pre-booked Video Interpretation (Remote Face-to-Face) – BSL

On Demand Video Interpretation (spoken languages and BSL) ‘InSight’

Contractors providing GOS services will be expected to make any reasonable adjustments for patients accessing the service to support the provision of interpreting services.

User guide resources on how to access the services including smartphone activation are attached for your use. Contact details including relevant helpline details are attached. There are also specific training sessions around In-Sight video interpreting services attached which may be of use and are freely available.
