Successful tender submission of Optometry Led Community Eye Care Services

Primary Eyecare Services are delighted to announce that following a successful tender submission, they have been awarded a 3 year contract for provision of Optometry Led Community Eye Care Services by NHS North West London Integrated Care Board.
The contract will commence during the Autumn and carries an optional 24-month extension period at the end of the 3 year term.
The key services included within the contract are:
· Cataract Pre referral assessment
· Glaucoma Referral Filtering
· Community Eye Service (CES)
Discussions are currently taking place with the ICB regarding commencement of service provision and we hope to be able to confirm this across the next few weeks.
Primary Eyecare Services Chief Executive Dharmesh Patel commented “Having worked on our tender submission with the full support of the North West London Local Optical Committees, we are delighted to have secured this contract. This presents a fantastic opportunity to expand community services across the entire North West London ICB area. We look forward to building strong partnerships with participating practices and enhancing the quality and accessibility of eye care for patients across the ICB.”
Speaking on behalf of North West London ICB Associate Director of Planned Care Max Carter said “In 2023, we collaborated with our service users and residents to design this service. We’re excited to partner with Primary Eyecare Services, our clinicians, and residents to launch this new service across North West London, ensuring accessible eye care for everyone in our boroughs.”
