Welcome to East Yorkshire LOC

Welcome to the website for the East Yorkshire Local Optical Committee (LOC). We represent optical professionals and contractors delivering eye care across the county.

The LOC is a statutory committee formed by NHS regulation who liaise between optical practices, NHS England, Intergrated Care Boards (ICB’s), hospitals and health care professionals in our area.

LOC’s represent the optical profession on all local general ophthalmic services matters and play a pivotal role in the design, commissioning and delivery of primary eyecare services.

We hope the information provided will be useful to practitioners and patients and we welcome any feedback or suggestions on ways to improve.
