Welcome to Hampshire LOC

This website is for Optical Professionals in Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

Hampshire Local Optical Committee (LOC) exists to represent and assist local performers and contractors providing NHS General Ophthalmic Services in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. The remit of the LOC is set out in our constitution.

The LOC works closely with Hampshire and Isle of Wight’s ICB (Integrated Care Board) and hospital Trusts.

The work of the LOC is funded by the collection of a statutory levy, based on a percentage of NHS sight test fee income. The amount deducted, calculated after drawing up the budget, is agreed by a resolution at the AGM. Accounts and a report of the LOCs work are produced annually for the AGM.
