Reminder – Participant recruitment for study on examination techniques for people who have had a stroke

This reminder relates to a study being carried out by Hampshire Optometrist, Malcolm Maciver.

The purpose of the study seeks to identify the most useful clinical procedures in visual examination post-stroke, with the aim of improving consistency of assessment, supporting improved care in the future.

The research is taking place at Leightons Opticians in the Avenue and would consist of participants attending for two examinations with me, one of which would consist of a ‘regular’ examination, while the other would be longer including a dilated examination and binocular vision work up.

I am asking that if colleagues have patients that they believe may have an interest in participating in this study to make them known of participant recruitment and signpost them to the option of participation in the study should this interest them.
