URGENT – OPERA – ***LAST CALL – URGENT ACTION REQUIRED*** Check your service listings and practitioner accreditations

28 February 2023

Following on from our previous mailings, Primary Eyecare Services can confirm that OPERA’s Directory of Services (DOS) will be updated in March 2023.

To ensure there is no service disruption all practices need to check they have the following in place:

– The services they are currently listed to provide are correct
– That their practitioners that deliver said services have all uploaded their accreditation to their OPERA practitioner profiles.

To find out how to check which services your practices deliver and / or to find out how to upload an accreditation, please visit this dedicated support page: Checking your services and adding an accreditation

If, when checking your practice’s services, you find a service listed that you do not provide, please contact the PES support team on OPERA help (blue speech bubble) providing full details including your practice ODS code and they will take the necessary action to resolve this.

If you are a practitioner that needs to upload an accreditation to their profile, please access your practitioner profile and upload your certificate into the box provided. This will then be reviewed by the PES team and, once approved, this will be indicated by turning green on your profile.

Once the new DOS is implemented it will remove any practice from delivering a service without an associated accredited practitioner, thus it is imperative this action is taken now.

My Services

In line with the new DOS being implemented, in mid-March OPERA will be releasing a new function hosted on your practice profile that will enable you to see an overview of the services your practices provides and who is accredited to deliver them within your practice.
This function will also provide practices with the ability to request to deliver and/or remove a service from their profile.

More details on this new feature will follow alongside a dedicated help page hosted in the OPERA help library. Please keep an eye out for further updates.

We will bring further news on OPERA updates and enhancements via this direct mailing process and via the new messaging system BEAMER hosted on the main OPERA landing page, so please keep your eyes peeled!

As always, we thank you for your time and support
