Hampshire LOC AGM 07 June 2023 – Solent Hotel and Spa, Whiteley PO15 7AJ
We are holding this year’s AGM on 07 June 2023 at the:
Solent Hotel & Spa
Rookery Avenue, Whiteley,
Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 7AJ
The evening will commence with registration and buffet from 18:30 – 19:15 and will then be followed by the AGM and peer review CPD.
This event is open to Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS GOS Contractors and associated Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians and Contact Lens Opticians.
This is a great opportunity to meet your representative committee, network with colleagues and gain 3 CPD points through Peer Review CPD based on three cases, Glaucoma, Red Eye and Low Vision. Domains covered are:
Communication – SoP 2
Professionalism – SoP 2
Speciality CPD – Contact lens Optician – SoP 10
Apart from hearing what the LOC Committee has been doing over the past 12 months you will also get brief updates from representatives from the LOC Support Unit (LOCSU) and Primary Eyecare Service (PES).

Sapphire Eye Care CPD Education Event – Lainston House Hotel 02 May 2023
Sapphire Eyecare will be holding an education event on 02 May 2023 at Lainston House Hotel near Winchester with talks commencing at 19:00hrs followed by a buffet.

Scope IP Bursary
Scope has created a bursary for optometrists looking at starting an IP qualification. The Bursary, £1500, can be put towards course fees. To apply, the applicant needs to submit a case study explaining why having an IP qualification would improve the patient care and experience you can offer.
