Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) Monitoring In Hampshire

Hampshire ICS has commissioned a HCQ screening service for all patients with a GP in Hampshire. The service is delivered at four locations in Hampshire:

– Cumberland House in Southampton
– Basepoint Business Centre in Basingstoke
– Sunnyside Medical Centre in Portsmouth
– Mill Court Business Centre In IOW

The pathway does not include community optometry. As such, if you discover during routine consultation that a patient is taking HCQ but does not appear to be aware of the screening service, please notify their GP highlighting this and requesting the rheumatology / dermatology department refer into the screening service.

The LOC does not recommend referring directly into the service.
