Referral Pathways
Below are the different pathways for routine, urgent (non-emergency conditions which you feel need to be seen within two weeks) and emergency referrals for each local hospital. However it is subject to change, so if a pathway has changed in your local area and the advice below has not be updated, please contact the Hampshire LOC.
Routine Cataract Referrals, Single Point of Access (SPoA) – here
Routine Non-Cataract Referral listed by area – here
Wet AMD and Urgent & Emergency listed by hospital – here
Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) Monitoring In Hampshire – here
NB – When referring, please ask all patients to double check their details to ensure your referrals include their government held name, DOB and address. This is because the data on your referral must match the NHS held data. As an example, does the NHS/Government know this person as “William” rather than “Bill”?
