Newmedica accept wet AMD referrals for patients with a BSOL (Birmingham and Solihull) GP only.

Wet AMD is not an emergency but should be referred, on the same day that you see and diagnose the patient, to a dedicated FAST TRACK Wet AMD clinic where they should be seen within two weeks of referral. Wherever possible you should try to obtain proof of delivery (either by requesting a delivery/read receipt on emails, or by phoning the co-ordinator).

You can use this Generic WET AMD RAPID ACCESS REFERRAL FORM or a GOS 18 marked clearly Fast Track Wet AMD Referral.
