EeRS is now available for Walsall Optometrists. From June, in addition to Walsall Manor other Birmingham/Black Country Hospitals will be available to refer to as they come online.

EeRS is the best and most appropriate route for referrals for Walsall Optometrists. If you haven’t yet signed up please see this page.

Otherwise routine referrals are on GOS18 via GP. There is no other route for direct referral to Walsall Manor for general routine referrals.

It is good practice to ask the patient to contact your practice if they haven’t heard in the expected time frame and document this on your record. If a patient contacts you then you should endeavour to chase the referral with the GP.
