Update For Anyone Not Vaccinated And A Vacancy
3 February 2021
We have 3 items for you today:
- For any patient facing staff members or locums who have not yet received an invitation to be vaccinated, either because they have not heard back from the hubs or because it has not yet been requested, we have the following update:Please find below a link from Hertfordshire Community Trust, which will enable you to book your vaccination appointments at Robertson House, Stevenage; Harlow, Luton, or several other locations given on the link:
https://hctbookingportal.as.me/schedule.php.The booking system will include new vaccination sites as they become available.
We are advised that you do NOT need to wait to receive your invitation, but you WILL need to take proof of your job role (something that shows you are an optometrist such as a letter head with your name and practice details, GOC registration or similar) AND photographic proof of ID such as a passport or driving license.
All patient-facing staff at your practice are also welcome to book using the above link. You will need to supply them with a letter, on headed paper, confirming they are employed in a patient-facing role. They will need to take this letter and photographic ID such as a passport or driving licence to their appointment.
We hope that this is of help to you but please contact us at HertsLOC@gmaill.com should you require any further information. - Further to the above, we have received the following offer from the vaccination centre in Hoddesdon:
“Over the last few weeks, we have been reaching out to allied professionals to offer vaccinations to those who are in a F2F role such as pharmacists, dentists, optometrists and dispensing opticians.
We would therefore like to offer this to Optical Dispensing practices within the Hoddesdon and Broxbourne locality. If this is of any help, please pass on my details and individuals will be contacted by a Care Coordinator to arrange an appointment. For practices outside the locality, I can assist by forwarding details to our neighbouring PCN managers.
Kind regards
