CET Needs Survey Reminder, Anyone Not Vaccinated And FODO News.
20 February 2021
We have 4 items for you today:
- Further to our email last week, as we are now in the final year of the CET cycle, we want to know how we can help you achieve the CET you need. If you haven’t already done so, please fill in our quick survey HERE to let us know which competency areas and / or other help you need. It is a very simple survey and all the questions are optional. You can also email us at HertsLOC@gmail.com if you prefer.
- If you, or any of your patient-facing staff, have not yet made arrangements to be vaccinated, you are welcome to book an appointment directly using the information and link in the first item on our previous email, HERE. Alternatively, you are also welcome to email us if you are having any issues arranging this, at HertsLOC@gmail.com
- NHSE&I’s latest Primary Care Bulletin, HERE, includes Optometry Digital playbook webinars planned with the Royal Colleges. They say “Last December, NHSX launched a library of digital playbooks on its website, as part of a programme of work supporting the commitment to reduce face-to-face outpatient appointments by up to a third over the next five years.
NHSX is planning a series of webinars with royal colleges to look in more detail at how the playbooks can support patient care. Starting in early March, the first of these will be the ophthalmology playbook webinar on Monday 1 March 5pm-6.15pm.
The digital playbooks are aimed at NHS staff and use case studies to show how different technology is being used across the UK to support clinicians and improve care, covering cardiology; respiratory; ophthalmology; musculoskeletal and dermatology.”
The Eyecare digital playbook can be found HERE.
- FODO’s weekly news update can be found HERE, including “Global Eye Health: vision beyond 2020” and the Clinical Council recommending action on childhood vision screening.
Kind regards
Herts LOC
