We have 5 items for you today:

  1. Direct cataract referral into Moorfields at Potters Bar Hospital by accredited Optometrists
We have been advised by Moorfields at Potters Bar that if you are an Optometrist who has previously been accredited for direct referral of cataract patients for surgery there, please continue to refer as you have done in the past.

This scheme was established eight years ago and is still running as normal.

They would welcome your referrals of patients living in both Herts Valleys CCG and East & North Herts CCG area and have very short waiting lists at present.

If you require more information regarding the above, please contact: j.oster@nhs.net

  2. Optometry East of England NHS Pathway Email Address
Hopefully, you will have received an email around the 12th April 2021 from Optometry East, requesting you inform them of the one main email address you would like all Gateway messages to be sent to.  If you have not yet advised them of this, then please do so before 11th June. We believe you may have been sent a direct reminder if you have not completed this by now.
