Moorfields Referral Contacts, Stoke Mandeville Cats, CET Claims, HVCCG And FODO News

  1. Update to Moorfields Eye Hospital Referral Contact Details
    We have been advised of an updated phone number, 020 7251 4661, for emergency referrals to Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Although there is an email address, moorfields.healthprofessionals@nhs.net , please remember that you MUST PHONE for permission BEFORE sending a patient in to them.

    We have updated our referral contacts list HERE, which can be downloaded and / or printed should you wish.

  2. Cataract Waiting Times at Stoke Mandeville Hospital
    We have been advised that current time from referral to surgery is 14 weeks. As a reminder, patients are able to request their provider eg Stoke Mandeville, Watford, Optegra, SpaMedica, etc, either via CHEC if in the Herts Valleys CCG area or via their GP if E&N Herts.

    As you may know, Stoke Mandeville have a standalone cataract unit within tthe hospital site. They have made a virtual tour video, which you can show to patients.

  3. 2021 CET Claims Window
    PCSE have advised that the CET claims window is now open, and will remain so until 31st October.

    All CET claims need to be submitted via the PCSE Online portal . Further information can be found in their statement HERE, which also includes information about the extension to the suspension of Px signature requirements on GOS and eGOS forms until 31st August, as previously advised.

  4. Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) update
    Can be found HERE, including a Hertfordshire Resilience Forum vaccination update and “Covid Pass” scam warning, Healthwatch Hertfordshire and Herts Ability.
  5. FODO News
    Is HERE, including changes to ordering lateral flow tests in England, Covid Vaccination update and “Colleges publish joint statement on post-operative cataract care”.
