Dry AMD Research, Herts Low Vision And Electronic Referrals

We have 3 items for you today:

1. Dry AMD Research
   
   PAH, on behalf of the University of Southampton are looking for volunteers to take part in a study assessing what causes patients with early age-related macular degeneration (AMD) to progress to the advanced sight threatening stages of the disease such as “wet AMD”. They say: “We are looking to recruit patients with intermediate Drusen, uni or bilateral. 2. Herts Vision Loss (HVL)
   
   HVL’s spring newsletter can be found HERE, with lots of useful information for people in Hertfordshire with a visual impairment. A leaflet they provide, with details about the services they offer, is HERE, which can be printed and handed to Pxs. 3. Eye Care Electronic Referrals
   As we mentioned last week, we are nearing the launch of an Eye Care Electronic Referral System (EeRS) in the East and North Herts (ENH) CCG area, before expanding into both Herts Valleys and West Essex CCG areas.
