CORRECTION TO THE NEW EMAIL ADDRESS FOR URGENT AND EMERGENCY REFERALS TO LISTER

Hi all

Further to this morning’s email, we have been advised that the email address we were given to disseminate was incorrect. We apologise for the error. The correct email address for urgent and emergency referrals to Lister hospital (East and North Herts NHS Trust) is:

enh-tr.urgenteyereferral@nhs.net  (there is no ‘s’ at the end of referral)

As advised earlier, this email address must NOT be used for routine referrals.  Patients will be triaged within 24 hours (except for weekends) and they will be contacted directly to be booked into appropriate ophthalmology clinics.  Clinicians will also receive a confirmation email back from the hospital, confirming receipt of the original referral.  Please DO NOT send patients directly to the hospital to be seen.
