- Herts LOC / The Brain Tumour Charity CPD Webinar Monday 20th May
We are pleased to be running an online CPD event, “Effective Communication – Breaking Bad News”, in association with the excellent Brain Tumour Charity on Monday 20th May from 7:30 to around 8:45. There will be three interactive points for all Optoms, CLOs and DOs, the domain being “Leadership and Accountability“.The presenter is Lorcan Butler, who is the charity’s Optical Engagement Manager. He has given this presentation in the past with numerous LOCs and travels extensively across the UK and Europe, talking at national and international optometric conferences.

FODO have issued the updated version of their useful GOS voucher value summary which can be downloaded HERE. - Locations for new Diabetic Eye Screening Service
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, the new provider for the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme across Hertfordshire and West Essex from 1 April 2024 have issued a poster/download with details of all screening locations for the new programme, to share with patients and for your information, which you can share or print out and put on display on site.The poster can be found HERE.
- Scleral and Medical Lens CPD event at Luton and Dunstable Hospital
L&D have issued the following invitation for their event on Wednesday 24th April at 6.15pm:“Optometrist and CLO colleagues
The eye department at the L&D invite you to an interactive teaching event on contact lenses.
There will be a CPD talk on the principles of fitting modern scleral lenses as well as an update and case studies of patients managed in our in-house contact lens service.
