RNIB Low Vision and Learning Disabilities Conference
This one-day face to face CPD event is aimed at community-based optometrists and will cover the following:
1) Keynote address by Consultant Ophthalmologist Christiana Dinah on retinal conditions in low vision.
2) Workshop on managing patients that have low vision with the opportunity to view different magnifiers and discuss the role of technology in supporting low vision patients. In addition, there will be a chance to listen to the challenges of a low vision patient and discuss ways to better support these patients.
3) Workshop on managing patients that have learning disabilities with hints and tips on how to amend your testing style to maximise results.

A webinar by Peter Charlesworth on the new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme has now formally replaced the Enhanced CET scheme. All registered Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians and Contact Lens Opticians must now earn a minimum number of CPD points by 31 December 2024 to be eligible to re-register in 2025.
