Wet AMD referrals

For patients with suspected Wet AMD, they should be referred via the Wet AMD Fast Track Referral Service to the LRI.

Please use the DIRECT REFERRAL FORM  (the Wet AMD form is no longer in use).

A patient may be a wet AMD suspect if they present with the following signs and symptoms:

• decrease in central visual acuity

• blurred vision

• metamorphopsia (lines appear crooked or wavy)

• central paracentral scotoma

• subretinal fluid and/or a bleed in the macular area
