Widefield retinal imaging CPD Event 01.4.25
Dear Colleagues,
The ISWL LOC in partnership with Moorfields Eye Hospital are hosting a CPD Event on 1st April 2025, at the Moorfields Duke Elder Ward, 5th Floor, Lanesborough Wing, St.George’s Hospital.
The event will provide an opportunity to network with colleagues across the pathway and take a look at the Moorfields Eye Unit at St.George’s Hospital. The tour will be followed by a lecture by Moorfields’ consultant ophthalmologist, Avinash Gurbaxani. Mr Gurbaxani will talk about retinal widefield imaging, a diagnostic tool becoming increasingly popular in community optometric practice. The lecture will provide an overview on its relevance, uses and the conditions you may identify using it that may or may not require referral.
The lecture is GOC accredited for 1 CPD point for optometrists, dispensing opticians, and contact lens opticians.
This is a unique opportunity to have a specific CPD regarding widefield imaging delivered by a consultant ophthalmologist. There will be a question and answer session after the talk.
