Vision Care for Homeless People – Volunteers are required.
Vision Care for Homeless People is a national charity providing free eye tests and glasses to those experiencing homelessness across the country. They would like to reach out to potential volunteer optometrists and DOs and in doing so, ensure that they can continue to provide free opticians clinics for those experiencing homelessness in our area. Their eye clinics are funded and regulated by the NHS and they currently run 9 clinics across England with plans to open many more. All optical equipment is provided on site and optometrists and assistants are supported by a Clinic Manager. They won a GSK Impact Award for our services in 2020.
