Quick, Free and Confidential Support for You! đź’¬
As we start 2025, many of our health and social care systems are under strain. Staff, working to deliver the best care they can, feel the pressure personally.
• 1 in 3 NHS staff will experience mental ill health
• 1 in 4 NHS staff will consider suicide
• We lose one nurse to suicide each week and one doctor every three weeks in the UK
This is why we are here for you! At the Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, we’re here to offer free, easy-to-access, and confidential support for whatever challenges you’re facing—whether at work, home, or both.
If you’re part of the health or social care workforce in the North East and North Cumbria, please just reach out.
We know how tough things can get, and sometimes you just need help — fast. That’s why our experienced NHS clinicians are ready to listen and support you with flexible, timely appointments.
Getting support is simple, confidential and straightforward:
• Send us an email at hubstheword@cntw.nhs.uk
• Leave a confidential message at 0191 223 2030
Once you contact us, we will get back and aim to offer you an appointment within seven working days. We can then offer you up to three additional brief therapy or support sessions with no waiting times. Appointments and sessions are usually by videocall or telephone, and at a time that suits you. We will also explore with you whether other services may be out there to help.
We know the importance of responding quickly, and we will offer you a timely and confidential appointment with one of our experienced NHS clinicians. All our clinicians are mental health NHS professionals who have worked on the frontline.
All you need to do is:
Or email us at hubstheword@cntw.nhs.uk
Or leave us a confidential message on 0191 223 2030
