Continuing Professional Development

Walsall LOC consider one of its key roles to be provision of CPD and has a designated CPD officer. Providing CPD helps the LOC to engage with both optometrists and dispensing opticians working in Walsall.

CPD is vital to maintain and improve standards in the delivery of optometry services, as well as being a requirement for registration with the General optical council.

To ensure we deliver CPD relevant to our members, we conduct an annual survey of member at our AGM, and we take requests from attendees at our CPD events to identify any local training needs.
